  As a Founder, Chairman and CTO of the company, I oversee the technology stack for product development. Leading a team of four, we focus on building web platforms and mobile applications that automate daily tasks often overlooked by major applications. Notably, we have successfully launched three applications, SuitApp, Next on Plate, and UK Settlement Planner, on both Google Play Store and App Store which were developed using Flutter.

  Currently, our team is working on SacredBox, a web platform connecting niche service providers with customers. Moreover, I secured $5500 funding in AWS Credits to run our MVP on the AWS cloud infrastructure.

• DevSecOps Engineer

  In this role, I lead the DevSecOps for a dedicated team building a framework which will allow any team using this product to build their own questionnaire forms complying with the UK Government design. I am responsible for maintaining the Terraform Codebase and AWS Accounts for the team to run their infrastructure. I worked on removing all the duplicate Terraform code, modularise resources that are frequently used across multiple teams, and proactively identify and address infrastructure and security issues. I proposed the use of AWS SSO in the company since the use of logging in, permissions and user management in AWS are outdated. I also explored dashboarding solutions using native AWS tools and resources and proposed multiple solutions to provide visibility across the SLT and board starting with AWS costs.

• AWS Platform Engineer

  In this role, I lead the DevSecOps and AWS platform, collaborating closely with the Data Engineering Team. I am responsible for maintaining the CloudFormation Code to create the infrastructure and AWS Accounts. I proactively identify and address infrastructure and security issues on AWS, proposing updates and fixes while implementing DevOps strategies like Github branching, versioning, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies. I introduced AWS CDK as an alternative to CloudFormation using Python and integrated Github Actions for CI, embracing the “Shift Left” in Testing. Additionally, I introduced vulnerability scanning for third-party packages and images in use.

  For the Forms Project, I proposed two AWS architecture options using ECS and Lambda Functions. To optimize development, I introduced the Trunk-Based development Branching Strategy and implemented SemVer for versioning the applications and infrastructure code.

• DevSecOps Consultant & AWS Architect

  As the DevSecOps leader, I collaborated closely with the CTO and Head of Engineering, overseeing crucial responsibilities for our company’s tech infrastructure on AWS. I successfully secured $100,000 AWS Credits and designed the entire infrastructure on AWS. My role involved defining DevOps methodologies and security frameworks for applications. I emphasized the significance of credentials management using Secret Manager and set up 1Password for high-level employees. Additionally, I led the creation of Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, orchestrated CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and AWS resources, and conducted seamless migrations to AWS services for databases and backend applications. Furthermore, I managed the migration of domain management from Google Domain to AWS. I created, configured, and deployed vital application components such as self-hosted Redis Cache Cluster, Metabase, and Retool across all environments. I actively contributed to defining and reviewing Information Security Policy and Risk Management Policies for the company.

  As the Head of the DevOps Chapter, I successfully collaborated with a team of three DevOps Engineers, aligning DevOps Objectives and Key Results with multiple squads’ Strategic Intents. I mentored junior colleagues, automated on-premise infrastructure deployment using AWS Services, and implemented Semantic Versioning for streamlined software releases. I optimized reliability and efficiency by introducing Github Actions & submodules, and initiated a Bug Bounty program to enhance application security. Additionally, I introduced best practices for maintaining AWS resources and served as a subject matter expert for various AWS services, including AWS CDK, CI/CD Pipelines, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.   As the DevOps Team Lead, I work closely with the CTO, CEO, and Head of Project, driving the successful launch of the SaaS Dashboard. My responsibilities include creating AWS resources using Terraform and Terragrunt, enhancing security, and automating processes. Additionally, I spearheaded containerization with Docker and EKS for the Digy Dashboard, introduced AWS CDK for REST API development, and developed the product for deployment on the AWS Marketplace, allowing clients to run their Digy4 SaaS Dashboard, known as “BYOC - Bring your own Cloud.”

I re-architected existing microservices into three environments with full CI/CD pipelines, implementing top-notch security and VPC configurations on AWS. Additionally, I improved infrastructure by transitioning from Vagrant to CloudFormation and introduced efficient release management with managed RFCs in production. I also introduced a DR solution across regions, significantly reducing RPO and RTO.
